Alex Sim-Wise grew up in Coventry, home of the Sky Blues and fighting, where even as a child (and heavily influenced by a certain R Kelly song) she believed she could fly. She also thought there was nothing wrong with a bit of bump and grind, even though her mind was telling her no. At school she excelled at Logo and drawing pictures of Mary J. Blige and she was once suspended for writing ‘Joe Foxon is a cock’ on Joe Foxon’s new Nike coat in permanent pen.

Alternately nick-named ‘Spanielface’ and ‘The Bell End’ due to rather unfortunate hair-cuts, Sim-Wise was a smart girl with a lot to offer the world and left school for the bright lights of Norwich at the age of 18, lured with offers of as much turkey ham as she could eat. Whilst in that ‘fine city’ she terrorised the local population as captain of the university cheerleading squad and generally lead her life as if it were a really bad teen movie, before being awarded a 2:1 degree in academic stealth. When modelling beckoned she was trying to shoplift a rack of lamb from ASDAs but jacked it all in to give the modelling industry her all.

She now works as a writer and TV presenter, but can still be found singing Michael Bolton classics outside the Zanzibar nightclub in Derby, and she likes to raise chickens in her spare time. Life has been kind to Alex and her obsession with Shandy knows no bounds.
